From 28 February to 10 May 2026, Rivalta Castle, a historic noble residence nestled in the Val Trebbia landscape, will open its doors to a fascinating exhibition: “Le tavole apparecchiate di un'antica famiglia piacentina(Set Tables of an Ancient Piacentine Family)”, curated personally by Count Orazio Zanardi Landi together with his family and presented in a completely renovated setting.
The exhibition invites visitors to discover the art of dining in the great aristocratic families of Piacenza, through themed historical settings and faithful reconstructions of the dining rooms of yesteryear. Each space recounts the rituals, customs and details of noble life, recreating the elegant and refined atmosphere of the great convivial occasions of the past.
Among the most precious items on display are tables laid with French dishes from 1830, hand-cut Bohemian glasses, Murano goblets from over two centuries ago, as well as centrepieces, candlesticks, salt cellars and jugs of great value. The exhibition is completed by original cutlery with monograms and napkins bearing the family crest, authentic testimonies of a tradition handed down through the ages.
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to visit Rivalta Castle from a new perspective, enjoying an immersive cultural experience that combines history, craftsmanship and family memories in one of the most evocative castles in Emilia-Romagna.
