It is located at 1355 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, close to the Cerreto Pass, a watershed and crossroads between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.

Nestled in the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, Cerreto Laghi sits on a lake of glacial origin, part of a system of lakes formed by the melting of ancient glaciers: lago Cerretano, lago Scuro, Le Gore and Pranda.

It is one of the most important and equipped tourist resorts of the entire Apennine ridge. Its favorable geographical position makes it easily accessible from both the Emilian and Ligurian-Tuscan sides, thanks to its connections with Reggio Emilia, La Spezia and Aulla via the SS63 road.

Why visit it

The first tourist facilities were built in the '50s, and expanded over the years, coming to constitute the present tourist ski resort well known for alpine and cross-country skiing. The chairlift is also activated in summer, in order to facilitate excursions and trekking on high-altitude trails.

The hospitality structures offer over 600 beds in different types of accommodation, from hotels to campsites to apartments.
