Location: Borzano di Albinea
What do the gypsums of the hills of Emilia-Romagna, which will become a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2023, tell us?
We will discover this morning: the natural history that generated them, their characteristics, and the caves they include: gypsum is in fact a soluble rock that, in geological times, melts and gives rise to underground cavities. On today's excursion, we will walk a beautiful loop that will also touch on the entrance to the Tana della Mussina, one of the main caves known in the area. We will be surrounded by a very beautiful hilly landscape, with soft, wide hills that will give the eyes splendid panoramic views, and the heart a profound peace and relaxation.
At the end, for those who wish, we will have something to eat together in the area (or areas suitable for pinnics in Borzano).
