The Toscanini Festival will be Parma and the Emilia-Romagna Region from June 5th to August 1st: with the Musical Director Omer Meir Wellber a program of symphony concerts, chamber music and shows.
The series will open at the Teatro Regio in Parma on June t at 6.30pm with the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic and the director Omer Meir Wellber, engaged in a double program that will anticipate the concerts on 8 and 9 June at the Dresden Music Festival, centered on two of Toscanini's most loved composers – Wagner and Verdi.
More, a traditional and long-awaited Concert for the City of Parma on 16 June in Piazza Duomo, together with the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic conducted by Alessandro Bonato in a program completed by two famous pages by Bizet: the Suites from Carmen and from L'Arlesienne.
But the program is enriched by other concerts which will take place in places of historical and artistic interest in the Emilia-Romagna Region in Parma as in the upper village of Torrechiara and also in the provinces of Ferrara, Ravenna and Piacenza.
