Emilia unveiled in the gaze of Luigi Ghirri
Vedere Oltre
Discover Emilia by following the revealing gaze of Luigi Ghirri (Scandiano 1943 - Reggio Emilia 1992), among the most important photographers of the Italian twentieth century. Ghirri argued that it is precisely the most usual corners, those we always have before our eyes, that can reveal unexpected aspects. Hence his "Seeing Beyond", which is the title of the calendar of events promoted by the cities of Reggio Emilia, Modena and Parma, to which Luigi Ghirri was linked and fundamental to his artistic production. For the 30th anniversary of his death, the cities of Visit Emilia - the Land of Slow Mix are dedicating exhibitions and initiatives to the Emilian photographer. A unique opportunity to immerse oneself with new eyes in the artistic, cultural and contemporary wonders of Parma and Reggio Emilia, imagining to follow in the steps and gaze of Ghirri, who dedicated to some of Emilia's most beautiful palaces and views unique images and visions.
