Museo Collezione Mazzolini

The Museum was inaugurated on 23 November 2015. The exhibition is composed by works made by Italian artists, realized between 1930 and 1960 and in it there are three rooms where the visitors can found the collectionists and their passions history.

The Museum is dedicated to Domenica Rosa Mazzolini: a passionate collectors, born in Brugnello (an ancient village situated not far from Bobbio), who in 2005 donated a lot of modern and contemporary art paintings to the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio, because she wanted that this works could be seen by people.

The collection is composed by works done by important artists like Enrico Baj, Renato Birolli, Carlo Carrà, Massimo Campigli, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Giorgio De Chirico, Filippo De Pisis, Ottone Rosai, Lucio Fontana, Achille Funi, Piero Manzoni, Mario Nigro, Giò Pomodoro, Mario Sironi and others.

Very rich is also the didattic offering with labs, guided tours which are about from the Medieval age to the contemporary ones arguments, giving a wide and differentiate offering for the different schools grades.
