The GT30 World Championship, a promotional and introductory category belonging to UIM (International Motorboat Union), is also open to young drivers competing in lightweight boats without a safety cockpit.
Some Grand Prix events are held alongside races in the higher classes. For example, in Cagliari and Brindisi, the races take place alongside the F2 or F1H2O championships.
The official GT30 World Championship titles, however, are decided at specific events on the international calendar.
In 2026, the world title races will take place in San Nazzaro, a hamlet of Monticelli d’Ongina on the River Po, between 25 and 27 September.
