Every summer since 1977, the Pro Loco of Vezzolacca organizes the Festa delle patate di Vezzolacca (Potato Festival). Vezzolacca is the southernmost and highest hamlet in the municipality of Vernasca, among the first mountains of the Upper Arda Valley. Since the 1970s, the soil of Vezzolacca has proved particularly suitable for potato cultivation,
This year the festival takes place from 21 to 23 August 2026. Every evening the food stands open at 7 p.m.
The razdore (housewives) have been gathering in the Pro Loco’s kitchens to make the homemade products that the festival offers each year, all made strictly from local potatoes. Particularly worth trying is the potato cake, prepared the night before the festival to ensure maximum freshness!
