From 1 March to 4 May 2026, the city welcomes Sguardi sull'Africa (Views of Africa), an exhibition that invites visitors and tourists to explore the artistic wealth of the African continent through works from the Giglio Collections in Piacenza and the Collezione 54 in Milan.
Strolling through the hall of Palazzo Gotico – one of the city's most fascinating landmarks and a must-see for anyone visiting Piacenza – visitors are transported to an extraordinary continent, the cradle of humanity. Africa reveals itself in all its diversity: a mosaic of traditions, colours, rituals and creativity that tell the story of the 54 nations that make it up.
