The doors of the Oratory of the Madonna delle Grazie in Vigoleno reopen for the temporary exhibition, ‘L'incisione e il sacro: Albrecht Dürer e il Rinascimento europeo(Engraving and the Sacred: Albrecht Dürer and the European Renaissance)'. An extraordinary opportunity to discover at close quarters the work of one of the great Renaissance artists.
The exhibition opens on 18 May and closes on 28 September 2025. Weekend visiting hours are the same as for the Mastio.
The tour opens with a section dedicated to the journey to Italy and ends with a comparison of the Nuremberg artist's work with the oratory's altarpiece, on the theme of the Madonna of Milk.
The 30 engravings on show, including engravings and woodcuts, come from the Ceribelli Gallery in Bergamo.
The exhibition is curated by Emanuele Franchi and Elisa Gennari.
