In Vezzolacca, a hamlet in the municipality of Vernasca, the last Sunday in September is the 'Blonde' Chestnut Festival, which has been held since 2005.
The locality is famous for another food and wine event that celebrates a typical local product: the Potato Festival, held just after Ferragosto (mid-August).
The event dedicated to the chestnut has quickly become a great success and, given the autumn temperatures of the period in which it takes place, the gastronomic stands only open at lunchtime.
