In Sala Mandelli, a town in Alta Val Tidone, the 40th edition of the traditional Festa del batarò De.Co. will be held from 6 to 8 September.
A weekend dedicated to a typical Val Tidone dish: batarò De.Co., a food that takes you back in time, when people used to set aside some dough to test the temperature of the wood-burning oven and to prepare snacks for children, creating small ‘sandwiches’. Today, batarò is eaten with cold meats and cheeses.
