The Festival, born as an advanced training artistic residency program, aims to train talented musicians in anticipation of the next "Paolo Borciani Award": one of the most important competitions in the world which takes place every three years at the Teatro Municipale Valli in Reggio Emilia .
From 5 to 25 June Reggio Emilia hosts young string quartets from all over the world who will perform in the Cloisters of San Pietro and in some evocative places in the province: Corte Cà Paoli in Pietranera di Canossa and at Rossena Castle.
The grand finale is scheduled for Saturday 17 June with the four young quartets engaged together in a free concert with reservations required.
