The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto is the first National Choreographic Centre established in Italy in 2022, recognized by the Ministry of Culture. It is a place of creativity, hospitality, and comprehensive planning focused on contemporary dance and its connection to other arts.
Located in Reggio Emilia, the Centro Choreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto is headquartered in the Fonderia (Foundry), an early 20th-century industrial space once used for metal smelting.
Today, the CCN/Aterballetto is a cosmopolitan, curious and dynamic organization dedicated to a diversity of styles and research in new digital technologies. Its productions are celebrated at leading theatres and festivals in Italy and around the world.
