The Restless Art

The urgency of creation

Logo CC

Reggio Emilia hosts, at Palazzo Magnani, an exhibition dedicated to the Restless Art with interior landscapes, maps, faces: 140 works from Paul Klee to Anselm Kiefer. Exhibition tour that explores the theme of identity, a restless identity that questions our time, through paintings, sculptures, drawings, graphics and artist books by 57 artists.

The project, which explores the multiple faces of identity, presents to the public authors who have looked at their own inner reality and the world with innovative languages: gazes that are increasingly necessary in the current scenario, where "restless art" is the daughter of personal and collective events, of research, of that expressive urgency of the artist who returns their feverish activity to the public, with unique works that surprise us.

Carla Accardi, Alighiero Boetti, Jean Dubuffet, Max Ernst, Alberto Giacometti, Keith Haring, Emilio Isgrò, Paul Klee, Anselm Kiefer, Maria Lai, Antonio Ligabue, Zoran Music, Emil Nolde, Yves Tanguy are some of the artists present in the exhibition; they will also be put juxtaposed with authors whose unpublished works come from the San Lazzaro Archive of the Reggio Emilia Psychiatry History Museum, now one of the largest collections in this field in Europe.
