The village of Bobbio, in the Trebbia Valley on the way to Liguria, is distinguished by ancient traditions related to international pilgrimage dynamics. To these have been added customs related to the land and the products the land offers. In wet periods the surrounding mountains are fertile ground for mushrooming, and the precious well-exposed slopes produce grapes mainly used for wine production.

In the streets of the village from early morning a market displays produce. Surrounding restaurants offer themed menus, and throughout the day a booth shows how to recognize mushrooms.
