An experience for those interested in understanding horses from an ethological perspective and how, precisely because of their sociability and natural disposition, they can support people in equitherapy and equicoaching. We'll tell you about their sociability, their needs, how they communicate, how they relate to each other, and how to approach them safely. Watching them graze freely and interact with each other and with us, surrounded by the sounds of nature, is an enchanting experience that slows the passage of time, instills well-being and peace, works in harmony with the heart, restoring our natural rhythm. Horses often spontaneously approach to meet you and be petted. Hiking shoes and comfortable pants are required for sitting in the meadow.

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE WOLF - guided excursion
Saturday, December 20 - 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
We follow the wolf's trail to discover the secrets of the European forest's lord! A guided excursion dedicated to wolf traces: tracks, remains of prey, and even images captured automatically by camera traps, and to observing their prey: roe deer, fallow deer, and wild boar. We virtually meet the wolf family that has lived in the Ghirardi Reserve since early 2015. We remember Antonio, the first dominant, who passed away in 2019, and the new husband of LaPina, the oldest member of the family. We'll discover the benefits their balancing action has brought to the Reserve's territory.
We'll learn how to support scientific research by reporting our observations using the iNaturalist app.
Appropriate clothing for the weather is required; binoculars and the iNaturalist app downloaded to your smartphone are recommended. Free activity.
