A day around the magnificent Castle located at the beginning of Parma Valley, along the Linari Route.

Every Sunday and public holiday – Meeting at 10 am in Piazza Leoni in Torrechiara with the Tourist Guide, to deliver the innovative audio receivers that allow the visitor to listen to the story while maintaining the right distance between the participants.
The Credentials of the Linari Route will also be delivered.
The tour starts in the lower village, where you will visit the San Rocco Chapel - usually closed - up to the "Fairy Forest", to visit the lesser-known side of the Castle.
Getting to the upper town, it will be possible to visit the fortified village, from which you can have a magnificent view over the whole Parma Valley.
During the tour, useful information will be provided to visit, without guide, the interiors of the Castle during the afternoon (opening from 1 to 7 pm): Bianca is the protagonist of the love story with Pier Maria Rossi, the builder of the Castle of Torrechiara in 1462.

The cost of the guided tour (from 10 am to 1 pm) is € 6.5 per person - children € 4.5
The tour is also suitable for children from 6 years old.
Reservations required, by Saturday at 6 pm – limited number of participants.

I LOVE CER - Emilia Romagna Walking - Saturday 12th September 2020 - Pilgrims in Parma

Guided urban walk along the Linari Route in the historic town center of Parma, in order to follow the path of the Pilgrims who walked along Via Francigena (Francigena Route) passing Fidenza; they arrived in Parma and then got to Rome crossing the Apennines at the Lagastrello Pass, where was located the powerful Abbey of Linari. Then they reached again the path of Via Francigena near the town called Aulla.

The meeting is scheduled at 9.30 am in front of the The Holy Cross Church (Chiesa di Santa Croce) in Parma, where each participant will be gifted with the Credential of the Linari Route.
Together with a well-prepared GAE Guide - and taking personal earphones made available by the Torrechiara agency - Assapora Parma – in order to ensure satisfactory safety conditions, we will retrace the ancient Via Emilia through the eyes of the Pilgrims, visiting the places they came across to provide refreshment to our soul our body.

We will walk along 5 km with a a modest difference in height, that will lead us to explore Parma, the second step of Linari Route. The urban walk, through the central medieval city, will continue on via Farini and then cross the Caprazzucca Bridge, the Oltretorrente area (meaning the other side of the stream) and finally we will reach the Holy Cross Square.

This schedule includes stops for tastings and for the characteristic lunch at La Bisaccia del Viaggiatore #parmacityofgastronomia (optional and for a fee)

I LOVE CER - Sunday 13th September 2020 - The Linari Route in Torrechiara

A guided and easy walk suitable for everyone around the Castle of Torrechiara, the magnificent manor that marks the entrance to the Linaari Route in the Apennines.

The meeting is scheduled at 9.30 am in Leoni Square in Torrechiara - with the tourist guide, to deliver the innovative audio receivers that allow the visitors to listen to the story while maintaining the right distance one to each other.
The Credentials of the Linari Route will also be delivered.
The tour starts in the lower village, where you will visit the San Rocco Chapel - usually closed - up to the "Fairy Forest", to visit the lesser known side of the Castle.
After getting to the upper town, it will be possible to visit the whole fortified village, from which you can have a stunning view over the whole Parma Valley; then you can reach Langhirano along the new Art Path, dotted with contemporary sculptures, and finally come back through the vineyards that surround the Castle. In Leoni Square it will be possible to visit the stalls of the Contado Market (Farmers' Market), with the best products of the agro-biodiversity of the Apennines Mab Unesco area between Emilia and Tuscany.
It will be possible (optional) to have a guided tasting of cured meats, cheeses and local wines at La Tavola del Contado.
During the whole tour, useful information will be provided to visit the interior of the Castle independently during the afternoon (opening from 1 to 7 pm)

The cost of the guided tour (from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm) is € 6.5 per person.
The tour is also suitable for children over 6 years.
The cost of the tasting is € 15 for adults and includes: cured meat with Parma ham 26 months - Coppa di Parma - Cooked pork shoulder from San Secondo – salami from Felino - Caprino and Pecorino (goat and sheep cheese) – Parmesan produced on the mountains with Jelly Malvasia or Lambrusco – Bread produced on the mountains - water and one glass of Malvasia or Lambrusco wine from the Parma hills.
