A weekend to the discovery of the villages of Castell'Arquato and Vigoleno with the Carnival of the "Zobia" for a finale

2 March 2019
Arrival at Castell’Arquato, classified among the most beautiful villages of Italy.
Walk through the characteristic narrow streets looking from “Basso paese” to the Piazza Monumentale: the Fountain of the Duke and the Torrione Farnese, the Palace of the Major and the Collegiata, ancient roman parish church dedicated to Maria Assunta.
Visit to the Geological Museum G. Cortesi.
Lunch in a typical place
Panoramic walk
Entrance at 17:30 and guided visit to Rocca Viscontea.
Tasting of ippocrasso in Enoteca Comunale and typical dinner (charcuterie and cheese DOP of Piacenza)
Accommodation in B&B

3 March 2019
Transfer to Vigoleno and guided visit at the medieval village still surrounded by the ancient walls.
Climb to the Torrione to look at the fantastic scenery of the Valley of the Stirone and to follow, a walk among the suggestive squares until the ancient Pieve di San Giorgio.
Lunch in a typical place
In the afternoon, transfer to Fiorenzuola d’Arda and participation to the traditional Carnival of the Zobia, with allegorical wagons and satirical costumes.
