The CSAC - Study Centre and Communication Archive is a research center belonging to the University of Parma, founded by the art historian Arturo Carlo Quintavalle in 1968.
Since 2007 it is housed in the Valserena abbey in the near suburbs of Parma, a beautiful location also known as the "Certosa di Paradigna ".
The Collection consists of a heritage of millions of pieces divided into five sections: art, photography, media, design and entertainment.
The Archive-Museum was inaugurated in 2015 and since then it has exhibits different pieces of the collection (600 works each time) to public, supporting the activities of the research Centre.
Inside the Centre visitors can find also important contemporary art exhibitions that often deepen the interactions between art, fashion, design and photography.
