What a Wonderful World

16 November 2019 - 8 March 2020
The long history of the “Ornamento” between art and culture
Magnani Palace and St.Peter Cloisters, Reggio Emilia

An exciting and new trip between the centuries, from the roman age to our contemporary time for understanding how much the “Decorazione” and “Ornamento” can be linked strictly to our life.
The decorative impulse born with the first expressive humanity traces and we are completely wrapped by the ornaments and we are not conscious about that. The idea is know and know again the vocabulary which surrounds us in the daily like tools in the art operas, in fashion field and in the architecture.
The exhibition has works by Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci, Giovan Battista Piranesi, William Morris, Koloman Moser, Maurits Cornelis Escher, Pablo Picasso, Henry Matisse, Giacomo Balla, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Peter Halley, Shirin Neshat.
