The travelling butcher fair of Bassa Parmense returns.
NOVEMBER PORC has confirmed itself as the world’s biggest event dedicated to pork and its products, enhancing and promoting the Bassa Parmense territory. No other similar events exist, the expression of an area in which there is a concentration of great excellences: Culatello di Zibello PDO and Prosciutto di Parma, Spalla Cotta (cooked shoulder of ham) di San Secondo and Spalla Cruda (raw shoulder of ham) di Palasone. The 2018 edition has some novelties: it is still held in the four towns, with a “stopover” for each one of the weekends of November, starting in Sissa (1-4 November), then continuing to Polesine Parmense (9-11 November), then Zibello (16-18 November), ending in Roccabianca (23-25 November).
Two related initiatives are to be underlined this year: from Sunday 28 October to 9 December, the town of Spalla Cotta, San Secondo Parmense “adds” to the kermesse, "Casa Nebbia" (temporary installation), and Busseto (10 November-9 December) proposes the “Busseto Festival Guareschi”.
