ANTELAMI IN PARMA, THE WORK OF MAN, THE TIME OF EARTH
Baptistery, Cathedral and Diocesan Museum - Parma
Face to face with the great Master Benedetto Antelami for a closer view than ever of the statues of the Months and Seasons that descend from their historic location to the ground of the internal loggia of the Baptistery.
The agenda created by the Diocese for Parma 2020 + 21 with the aim of highlighting the centuries-old attention of the Parma Christian community to the deepest human values finds the focal point in this exhibition.
The statues of the Months and Seasons clear the way for a multidisciplinary cultural approach: they contain a high symbolic-religious value, they testify to a profound anthropological reflection and express a balanced relationship between man and environment, between nature and culture.
A production of: Diocese of Parma
In collaboration with: Fabbriceria of the Cathedral Basilica; Chapter of the Cathedral Basilica, Cariparma Foundation, "A. Boito" Conservatory of Music; Parma Committee 2020

UMBERTO ECO, FRANCO MARIA RICCI. LABYRINTHS. HISTORY OF A SIGN
Labyrinth of the Masone, Fontanellato - Parma
Franco Maria Ricci's Labyrinth becomes a Metalabyrinth: noble and wise shadows, linked to the story of Ricci - not only Umberto Eco but also Jorge Luis Borges - will accompany visitors with multimedia words and thoughts, as it was for Dante, guided by Virgil.
In the first room, dedicated to Echo, the voice and texts of the great writer will guide the audience through a labyrinth with reflective walls: a maze of mirrors animated by visions that invite us to re-read the history of the labyrinth and its symbolic and psychological meanings.
In the second room, numerous works will appear, in a surprising 360 ° projection about the History of the world's labyrinths.
In the third and last room, the idea of the labyrinth and how this symbol has participated in the history of the world will be explained by important loans from international museums and ancient volumes with illustrations of labyrinths.

Curated by: Edoardo Pepino and Giovanni Mariotti
