The main events through the fever for the two and four wheels of Destinazione Turistica Emilia, in a race of burning passion between Parma, Piacenza and Reggio Emilia.
Food Valley but also Motor Valley: under the unique excellence of its food and wine offer, Destinazione Turistica Emilia nurtures a not too secret passion for the two and four wheels, which spreads far and wide across an area that alternates between moments of quite silence and the roaring of engines: a territory which is able to fill the air with a powerful voice, and, furthermore, famous for its history.
Market exhibitions, dedicated museums and tales stained with grease and oil: there are innumerable pathes that intersect and reverse the direction of travel, following parabolic curves and tunnels that get in a past full of surprises, for a thematic experience "at full throttle" on the main road and through the various deviations of a saga concerning, somehow, the heart of people.
18th May 2019
On May 18th, Parma will be one of the most awaited races ever, known throughout the world for the halo of legend that surrounds it since the first performance of the Twenties.
Except for the anomalous 1940 edition, held on the circuit set up between Brescia, Mantua and Cremona, the ducal city has actually always been a privileged point of passage for the Mille Miglia in all its classic recurrences, from 1927 to 1957.
Both in the routes clockwise than in those counter-clockwise, the different paths of the Freccia Rossa have always exploited the roads of the Parma area: coming from Bologna or Piacenza, with or without the graft of the Passo della Cisa, the itinerary gifted the Piccola Paris with a bow, which once again presents itself with an arrival at lunchtime, as if to decree the intersection between the motoring tradition and the food and wine tradition, in the junction between Food and Motor Valley.

On the first Sunday of September 2019
Although, in the common imagination, the figure of Enzo Ferrari and the famous silhouette of the prancing horse are inextricably linked to Maranello, the epic story of Drake is also stongly connected with the passion of the town of Piacenza for engines.
Indeed, it was right here that, on the 14th June 1931, the "Stradivari of the engines" - as Brera defined him - won its last race as a pilot, driving an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 between the curves and straights of the Bobbio-Penice speed race, which was organized by the Piacenza Automobile Club.
So, since 1994, the first Sunday of September the CPAE stages the re-enactment of that event with a classic time trial rally, which every year attracts fans from all over the Country.
