23rd October 2021- 31st January 2022. An exhibition dedicated to Dante Alighieri and his Divine Comedy will take place in the exhibition area of Palazzo Farnese, in the city of Piacenza.

The Progatonist will be Codice Landiano 190, the most ancient manuscript of the Divine Comedy ever dated: 1336.

The exhibition includes printed editions of the Divine Comedy, other works by Dante belonging to the XV and XVI centuries, a rich array of images and contextualisations of the exhibited books.

The books, incunabula and sixteenth-century fragments all belong to Biblioteca Passerini Landi, the Public Library of Piacenza, housed in the ancient Palazzo San Pietro, built by Compagnia di Gesù (Jesuits) during the 16th century and which has been home to a book collection since 1593.
