At the Magnani Rocca Foundation near Parma, which already houses an important art collection, this exhibition has been organized in collaboration with Fundaciòn MAPFRE of Madrid.
Through fifty works between the 1930s and the 1970s, mostly in oil on canvas, this show offers a look at the continuous challenge made by the artist towards traditional painting.
The last decades of Miro's activity are particularly well documented in the exhibition. The outstanding work as an illustrator is also well represented on display thanks to the artist's book with poetic texts by Tristan Tzara with seventy-two color plates by the Catalan artist.
The Villa of Masterpieces houses also a prestigious collection and it is inside a magnificent park.
